Free Things to do in Myrtle Beach
As we all know, vacationing can be expensive. Fortunately, there are plenty of fun activities in Myrtle Beach that require no money at all!
What better way to spend your day than digging your toes in the sand and listening to the waves crash along the shore? The ocean breeze and sun's rays are free, so head to the beach for a little fun and relaxation. From splashing in the water and building sandcastles, to hunting for shark's teeth and collecting sea shells, there are lots of activities to keep you busy. Just remember to pack your sunscreen for a full day of fun!
After a long day at the beach, head to Market Commons. Located just a short drive south of The Caravelle, they offer fun for the entire family throughout the week. Each Wednesday from mid June - August, enjoy live music in the gazebos. There will be a live face painter, and after a day at the ocean, you'll be ready to sit back and enjoy the entertainment. Each Thursday, head out for "Music on the Green". Live bands will perform in Valor Park from 7pm-10pm, and best of all, there's no admission cost. On Fridays, enjoy complimentary carriage rides from 5pm-8pm. Then finish the night with a "Movie Under the Stars". Complimentary family movies are shown in Valor Park at 9pm. Your family won't want to miss these great events ... and all you'll need is a blanket or lawn chair!
Hoping to experience as much of the outdoors as possible on your vacation? Visit the historic fishing village of Murrells Inlet and experience nature along the Marshwalk which offers great views of the saltwater marsh, birds and beautiful scenery. Home to many waterfront restaurants, music is in the air once evening rolls around - and it's all free to enjoy!
All of these very popular attractions are located just a few miles south of The Caravelle Resort. Rooms go fast, so book now!
