Cinco de Mayo

Cinco De Mayo is just a few short weeks away, and there's plenty of ways to celebrate here at the beach. Carlos'N Charlie's at Broadway at the Beach will be hosting a 5K and Family Fun Run on Sunday, May 4th at 8:30am. For $30, the 5K race fee includes a 5K around and throughout Broadway, a t-shirt, and gift bag. Following the race, all participants will enjoy a Mexican themed breakfast buffet.



If running a 5K isn't your thing, sign your family up for the Mascot Family Fun Run! The fun run begins at 8:30am and you'll get to see all of your favorite mascots, including the Michelin man from Tire Town, Splash the Pelican, The Señor Frog, Chauncey the Chanticleer, the NMB Sea Turtle, the Bojangles Chicken, and many more! For just $15, the fun run participants will receive a t-shirt and breakfast buffet ticket. A portion of the proceeds from this great event go to support the Pee Dee March of Dimes. Then on Monday, May 5th, mark your calendar for the 17th annual Burrofest at Burro Loco ... the largest party on the strand! The doors open at 11:00am, and the fun doesn't stop until 1:00am. The music lineup begins at 3:00pm with Paperwork and continues throughout the night. Enjoy live music by the Josh Brannon Band, Bullfrog, Tastes Like Chicken Band, and No Limit Duo. Also enjoy super sized, iced cold cervezas and outdoor games.
