March is Here, Spring Outside and Enjoy What Myrtle Beach has to Offer

March is here and Spring is upon us, and it is time to put away our winter jackets.  If you want to head outside and enjoy the sunshine, Myrtle Beach has some great events that you don’t want to miss!

Get on out to Nascar Speedpark for starters, they have 6 go-kart tracks, 6 kids rides, 2 mini golf courses and the outdoor rock climbing wall!  Plus, while you’re in the park, you can register to win 2 tickets to the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway on April 12th.  For all of you racing fans, this is an opportunity you don’t want to pass up!

Also, from March 8th through March 16th, various locations throughout the Myrtle Beach Area will participate in the 53rd  annual celebration of the Canadian-American Days Festival.  This festival will include cultural sporting events, a series of concerts, beach activities, and other community sponsored activities for all ages throughout the Grand Strand.  This fun-filled festival began over 45 years ago as an event for Canadians visiting the Myrtle Beach area during their spring break, but it has grown into a celebration not only for our Canadian visitors, but for all guests and locals along the Grand Strand.  As part of the festival, on March 10th at 6pm, the Canadian American Days Festival Concert Series Kickoff will be held at Broadway at the Beach and will feature The Burlington Teen Tour Band, Searson, The Andrew Thielen Big Band and many other great performances!  Selected by the Southeast Tourism Society as one of the Top 20 events in the Southeast for the past 12 years, this is one festival that you will remember for years to come!

Later in the month, you will want to mark your calendars March 20th through March 22nd for the largest car and truck show in South Carolina!  The Pee Dee Street Rodders 26th Annual “Run to the Sun” car show will be held at the former site of the Myrtle Square Mall in Myrtle Beach from 8am-5pm each day.  Proceeds will go to the Children’s Miracle Network & The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  In 2013, proceeds totaled $102,000!  The Caravelle Resort is proud to be a sponsor of this great event.  For more information, visit www.peedeestreetrodders.com.

What better way to welcome the warmer weather than with a trip to Myrtle Beach this March where you can look forward to many amazing events this March?
