June Events in Myrtle Beach


Fireworks in Myrtle Beach, SCSummer is here and there is plenty to do in Myrtle Beach this June!



SummerFest! 2014 at Barefoot Landing begins on June 1st and runs until September 1st.  Join in the fun from 7:00pm-11:00pm each night.  Nick Pike of "America's Got Talent" will provide daily entertainment.  From juggling acts to riding a unicycle, he is sure to make everyone laugh!  Nigel and Ally's traveling dance party will also be in attendance.  Clowns, magicians, stilt walkers and kids karaoke will create an evening to remember!  On Monday nights, fireworks will light up the sky at 10:15pm over the waterway.  Also remember to stop by on Saturdays to ride the carousel for FREE all summer long!



St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church will will be hosting their Greek Bazaar on June 6th and 7th from 11:00am-9:00pm each day, and this is an event you definitely don't want to miss! Indulge in delicious Greek food from 30 different vendors, shop at their Greek store, and enjoy the car show and Greek Music. The church is located on 17 bypass and 33rd Ave North, just a short drive south of The Caravelle Resort.



Also on June 7th, the Myrtle Beach Corvette Club will hold their "19th Annual Corvettes at the Beach" car show in Celebrity Circle at Broadway at the Beach from 10:00am-3:30pm. Over 300 corvettes from around the country will be attending, and best of all...the show is free!! Everyone is welcome to help support this years charities, which include Canine Angels and Veterans Home & Resource Center.



If you will be visiting middle of the month and you are looking for a casual evening, a wine tasting under a canopy of live oak trees couldn't sound more perfect. On June 14th from 5:30pm-8:00pm, Brookgreen Gardens will feature a wine tasting with food pairings and a silent auction. 21 wines from premiere vineyards in South Africa and South America will be on display, and guests will receive an engraved wine glass as their gift. Latin-themed jazz performed by Javier Jazz Project will compliment the evening.  Proceeds of the wine tasting and silent auction will support the development of the new Lowcountry Zoo exhibit, Waterfowl: Wings of Migration.  The cost is $50 for members and $65 for non-members.  Tickets are limited, so make your reservation by calling (843)235-6016.



And if you are looking for a fun activity for the kids later in the month, the Children's Museum of South Carolina will be hosting a Fun Friday Luau on June 20th from 6:00pm-8:00pm. For only $1.00 per person, kids will enjoy music, crafts, games, prizes and activities! Be sure to come in your best grass skirt and Hawaiian shirt and join the fun!
