Halloween in Myrtle Beach

Halloween is just around the corner, and Myrtle Beach has lots of exciting events this October. On October 22nd-24th from 7:00pm-8:30pm, downtown Conway will host the Conway Ghost Walk: Spirits of the Low Country. Professional storytellers will weave tales of low country haunts through the shadowy streets. This Halloween event features 7 storytellers sharing tales that are always spooky, sometimes humorous, and guaranteed to become part of your family's Halloween tradition. Reservations are suggested, but tour-goers may also visit the box office at the Conway Visitor's Center on tour nights to purchase walk up tickets for the next available tour. Tickets can be purchased in advance by visiting www.conwayalive.com. All tours begin at 7:00pm and leave the box office every 15 minutes until 8:30pm. The storytelling tour is just over 60 minutes, and the tour route is approximately 1 mile. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under. Your family is sure to have a great time at this "bewitching" event!

Complete your weekend at 150 Citizens Circle where the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex will be transformed into a "Howl-O-Scream Bash" on October 31st from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Open to all ages and free to the public, the Parks & Recreation Department will work in collaboration with Coastal Carolina University's Rec Management class to convert the facility into a "spooktacular" site for an array of activities to include hayrides, pumpkin painting, marshmallow roasting, trick-or-treating, and much more! Scare-free and scare zones offer a variety of excitement levels sure to satisfy all ages! You don't want to miss the fun!

If the "Howl-O-Scream Bash" doesn't excite you, then dress up the kids and head over to Celebrity Circle at Broadway at the Beach from 4:30pm-6:30pm on October 31st for trick-or-treating in a safe and fun environment.  Participating merchants will be anxiously waiting with little surprises for all those in costume!

The week prior, on October 24th, adults will want to be sure to check out the "Nightmare in the Square" costume contest party located in Celebrity Square at Broadway at the Beach. Proudly featuring the largest costume contest in South Carolina, you will enjoy live music followed by the costume contest later in the night. 1st place will receive $2,000, 2nd place will receive $1,000 and 3rd place $500. For those age 21 years and older, arrive in costume and receive free admission to several great clubs including Revolutions, Crocodile Rocks, Malibu's Surf Bar, Club Boca, Froggy Bottomz and Broadway Louie's.

Have a Fun and Safe Halloween!
