Free Family Events in Myrtle Beach
After putting money into hotel accommodations and travel, we know the last thing you want to do is spend a ton of money once you arrive at your destination. Luckily, Myrtle Beach has a handful of free, family activities to choose from. Taking part in a few free activities while on vacation will help you save money for dining and other fun activities that you might have thought were out of your budget.
Sounds of Summer
Come stop by the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex for free, live music at the Sandhills Bank Amphitheater on select Fridays during the summer from 7pm until 9pm. Bring a blanket or beach chair and enjoy family friendly, live concerts under the stars. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase for your convenience. Be sure to check if there is a concert performing during your vacation because this is an event you won't want to miss.
Hot Summer Nights
The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk's "Hot Summer Nights" is a free nightly entertainment program that the whole family will enjoy. This program will be held weekly from June 8th through August 24th. The Kids Carnival will be held every Monday from 7pm until 10pm and will feature inflatables, kids bands, caricature artists, face painting, games, and more. Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, a live concert series will be held at the oceanfront stage in Plyler Park and will include both local and regional bands. The concerts will begin at 8pm until 11pm from June 9th through August 29th. Enjoy a free fireworks show every Wednesday from June 10th through August 26th at 10pm. A huge fireworks display will be held on Saturday, July 4th to celebrate Independence Day.
Music On Main
Head to downtown North Myrtle Beach for live music in two locations on Main Street. Bring a beach chair to sit back and relax while enjoying the show or listen to the live bands while you shop or dine at nearby restaurants. The concerts run from 7pm until 9pm and are located at 202 Main Street and 11 S. Ocean Blvd. in North Myrtle Beach. Check out the concert schedule here.
SummerFest
Barefoot Landing will be hosting SummerFest 2015 from June 1st through August 30th. SummerFest will feature a series of weekly events including comedians, magicians, jugglers, clowns, stilt-walkers, and more. There will never be a dull moment during SummerFest since every day of the week has a list of exciting events scheduled such as live music and karaoke.
