Years of great memories

We have been coming to the Caravelle for most of the last 10 years in the spring.We stayed in 2 other hotels the first year we went using entertainment book coupons. When we talked with Jerry and Dorie Selvius at church the next week they told us about the Caravelle. So since then we have been coming there. usually in March or April. We have taken my daughters college friends one year. We have taken girlfriends that are now married to my sons. and now off and on they have come with us. One year - I think it was 3 years ago- we got there and the weather predictions were very cool and cloudy for the week. So when we asked at the desk they were very kind and even made reservations for us in Jacksonville Fl so that we could enjoy our week of vacation and golf in the sun!! they go above and beyond for us and that is why we just keep on coming back. Last year I had fallen and broke my ankle in Nov before we came in March. So they booked us on the best floor so it was convenient for parking and getting around on crutches. The golf department has always been very helpful also. Marv is the type that is afraid to make reservations ahead in case the weather is not that great. So they make him comfortable by making the reservations at the best prices the day or two before he golfs. Thank you. We like the idea of having the pools and lazy river, and now the kids pool area right there. And being right on the ocean so when we want to walk (which Marv and I both enjoy very much) or just sit on the beach for a while it is right there. we usually get an oceanview efficient suite on the 7th floor -which I love-beautiful sunsets and looking down on the pools and still being able to see the ocean. Plus then we have the indoor pool right on that floor also for cool evenings. We also really enjoy the great breakfast buffet that we can enjoy even if we do golf early mornings. So, thank you for many years of great memories. We plan to be down there again March 27 - April 10 and this time our kids are coming down April 1-April 8. This is the first time for the grandkids to be there so they are really excited (and so are we to have them). We are celebrating Marv's retirement from Steelcase after 28 years there. He will be done working on March 11. So thanks for being a great part of a lot of great memories.!!
