Peggy and I have great memories from a golf vacation at the Caravelle. It was 36 years ago in 1973. On our first night, the hotel hosted a cocktail party for guests. Everone there were men except for one other couple. Naturally, we introduced ourselves to each other. They were Ralph and Lois Terreberry from Canada. After a couple of drinks we decided to have dinner together. The next day you were kind enough to rearrange our golf schedules so we could play together during our stay. We played golf and had dinner together every day. We became very close friends and visited each other several times over the years. Eventually we both retired, moved, and lost contact. About three years ago, we were able to locate them through the internet and have stayed in touch even though they now live on the west coast of Canada and we are in Florida. Although that was our only visit to the hotel we do have great memories. The Terreberrys have returned as guests in recent years.
