The Caravelle Our Story

It was July 1994 I had meet the woman of my dreams. We had dated for about two months and she was offered a job in Myrtle Beach (She worked in retail). They had asked her to come to MB and work in a store that she could possibly manage. We both lived in Louisville Kentucky and to this day I still remember the day I took her to the air port to leave to make this trip. I was never so sad as when that plane took off and she headed to the beach. As the plane asended I just knew she was not coming back. She was staying at the Caravelle while she was down there.  About two days and countless hours on the phone with her I knew that I could not let this woman get away. She was and is still is everything I ever wanted. It was on a Tuesday I went to work and told my boss that I needed to take the rest of the week off. He was not happy but agreed. I went home packed my bags and headed to the beach to bring home the one person I could not live without. Needless to she she was very excited to see me when I got there. She agreed to come and not take the job in MB. We are now very happily married with two great boys. We even went to the Caravell for our honeymoon. We have returned to the Caravelle every year since for our vacation. Now when we get ready to start making plans the boys do not ask if we are going to the beach they ask if we are going to the Caravelle. It has become like a second home. Thank you Caravelle for so many special memories over the years and the ones yet to come. You have become such a very special place for our family!
