My family took us there for the first time when I was 9.  After that first trip we continued to return until I was 17.

Our first thru 4th visit was at the caravelle and loved it there.  It was always a treat to come to myrtle beach and I would have to say that the location of the caravelle is perfect.  U are truely right there on the ocean.  My most intertaining memory was the time that I cleared the ocean.  I was probably around 16 and became terrified of sharks,  so I was swimming in the ocean with a friend and suddenly there was a fin in the water and I freaked.  I ran out of the water screaming shark and hit the dip in the ocean and thought I had been eaten.  The lifeguard later told me that it was a dolphin :)

Now I have a family of my own and we are planning our first trip in 2010.  Now I can watch them form great memories just like I did.

I have been looking into ur new accomidations and I have a question ...Is the little restaurant that was there in 1989 still a part of the caravelle?
