The youth of my church and their families came to the Caravelle Resort for their Summer Trip.  The youth were excited about the trip but had no idea what fun they were in for.  My son and his family have decided to come every year now.  Six of my, grandchildren, six girls age 6 to 12 and all the youth were in a constant state of pure joy while we were at the Caravelle.  The adults had a ball too.  I don't know who played the hardest, my son or his daughters. 

My greatest pleasure is seeing my family happy.  This grandmother was in a fantasy land - I have never seen my family so happy and carefree.  With a familiy as big as my son's, there is constant busyness and even chaotic times.  You can imagine six girls have rare moments of agreement.  In an effort to keep down bickering, I told everyone to just say "I love my family" when they become agitated or stressed and then just smile.  There was to be no fussing, time outs, punishments and pouting.

It worked!  The whole family was usually generous and kind to each other.  While the phrase was said three times, the real reason we got along so well was because we were all relaxed and having the best time because of your resort.  The kids were always busy playing in the pools, on the beach, or in the gameroom, or relaxing in our rooms while Dad cooked the great homemade meals we get at home. 

 What more could I ask?  On our last evening there, I took some time to relax and watch my family play a game of volleyball in the pool, some of the youth from our Church had come and joined in as well.  I just sat and watched and took pictures.  While the pictures came out great, I do not need them to remember our stay there.  I stored great visual memories that day as I sat enjoying the sight of my happy family.
