Memories
From one generation to another
Genelle Dunfee • Mantua, OH
It all started several years ago when my husband was taken to Myrtle Beach as a child. His Grandparents took him year after year and made many memories and videos and pictures galore of him being goofy. We got married and knew that Myrtle Beach was where we wanted to go. Without a doubt we knew that the Caravelle was the place that we wanted to make the memories. Besides the mishap with us checking in and our room not being clean...we were escorted to our room with the assistance of our luggage. It was not to long after that we were going doen to the ocean and walking the beach. Not being able to take a picture of both of us together we asked a gentleman that was walking by to take our picture... in front of us my newly wed husband wrote with his sandal just married in a heart. Years later the memories still stand strong. We wanted to take a family vacation with the kids... to the beach we go. The Caravelle was the "Hot Spot" for us. Laying in the chairs basking in the sun, watching the kids float in the lazy river and play with the kids that they had never even met. The hula hoop contect the d.j. at the pool and enjoyment that we saw in the kids faces floating in the lazy river and playing in the newly renovated kids play area. It was a time of our life that we and the kids will never forget. When we get enough money saved up again, we plan to come and enjoy more memories and watching the boys grow up and enjoy a time in their lives that they will never get to come back to again and repeat.
P.S.-the bike races that were going on that we viewed out our window, the tye died t-shirts that we made, the crafts and the other enjoyable activities that we were able to incorporate into our vacation.
