My husband, daughter and her family have spent several vacations at the Caravelle Resort.   We had spent 6 days about 12 years ago and had really had a ball.   We have two grandchildren and they were small enough until the lazy river meant everything to them.   The games that were played and all the staff did to make kids have fun was just wonderful.   My husband and I had never had a more relaxed and happy "get away."    We had just gotten one block from the Carvelle when my husband slumped over in his seat.  We called resuce squad and they got there immediately.   He was put in the Myrtle Beach Hospital and kept having heart attacks all day.   My daughter went back to the motel and asked if they had a room that we could get for the night, of course they did.   In the meantime my husband got worse and they air lifted him to Charleston.   We had to check out and head to Charleston that night.   The manager did not charge us for the few hours that my daughter and grandchildren were at the motel.   They were really kind to all of us, asking if there were anything they could do for us.   My grandchildren were so upset and yet the Caravelle staff kept them occupied during one of the worst days of our lives.    Thank God for people who care.
