I am not sure what year we first stayed at the Caravelle but we loved it so much that every year that we came to Myrtle Beach, we stayed at the Caravelle. We have three daughters and each year we came, one of them got to bring a friend along, a couple of them brought their boyfriend and sometimes it would just be their best friend. Most of the kids that came with us would not have gotten to experience a "beach experience" had we not invited them to come with us and to see their faces when they saw the ocean for the first time was an awesome experience! Needless to say, my husband and I spent most of our time being chaperones! Every year we would return home and say to each other that someday when the kids all left home that we would return , just the two of us, and just do what we liked to do! Two years ago, a few months before my husband retired, we decided it was time to fulfill that dream and come back to the Caravelle , just the two of us, so we came back for several days and even though it was during the time of some of your renovation, we had a very good time. But guess what? We spent most of our time remembering all the fun we had with our girls and their friends and found out that we had been doing the fun things all along!! We have five beautiful grandchildren now and maybe someday, we can return and make some beautiful memories with them. Thanks Caravelle for the great times we spent with you.
