We celebrated our 29th family reunion at the Caravelle Resort on Father's Day weekend 2008. My 2 sisters and I rented a 2 bedroom condo and a 3 bedroom condo at the Carolina Dunes from 6-11-08 thru 6-15-08. We had 34 family members attend this reunion. Our theme this year was the Perry Mccarty Mardi Gras American Idol 2008. Everyone dressed in Mardi Gras masks and coustumes. We had 3 family members to impersonate "Simon" "Paula" and "Randy" as judges. Family members from age 2 to 65 performed karaoke to Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Bon Jovi, The Supremes, The Village People, The Beattles, Whitney Houston, Garth Brooks and others. Everyone enjoyed dancing and singing. The staff at the Santa Maria provided a delicious buffet and king cake. Fun was had by one and all! This is the best reunion we have ever had and will consider the Caravelle Resort for future family functions.
