Exciting Visit to The Caravelle Coming Soon for A Very Special Baby and His Family!
Archie Tucker • Salisbury, NC
I stay at the Caravelle every year and twice a year sometimes. My wife and little girl love the hotel and the water park. This year we will bring our new baby Landon Joe Tucker who is four months old. Landon was born with CMV and was the first baby treated inside of the mother in utero with a drug from Italy which cost us a fortune for one treatment.
While Landon's Mommy was five months pregnant she became very sick after experiencing a fever for more than a month and we went through many months of anxiety while trying to figure out what was wrong and making sure that Landon would be born healthy.
Landon was born on August 11th and we were able to sneak in one last trip to the Caravelle about a month before he was born. This was the last time that the three of us would spend time there, as the three of us as a family before Landon arrived. I remember Jody being pretty big and pregnant with Landon at that time.
Our son is doing great now, but Mommy needs a get away. We are planning a trip to the St. Clement's this June or July and we absolutely cannot wait.
We love the Caravelle and always feel we are at home on how we are treated there. Thanks for a great hotel and the friendship.

Note from The Caravelle:
We were deeply moved by Mr. and Mrs. Tucker's story, and Mr. Tucker had sent us a link of this amazing story from the hospital's web site where Mrs. Tucker underwent all of her treatments and where Landon was born. We felt that this was worth passing along to all of our friends.
