My sister and I started this as a vacation for us together with our children as a way to get away from some of the seeming never-ending cold weather in Michigan. Now 5 kids and 6 years later, it is an annual trek for us that we wait for all year long.

The kids get to bring their schoolwork with them for a week and we get to get together and chat and act as goofy as we want with our husbands not there to shake their heads at us. we so look forward to our time on this trip every year that as soon as we get home, we start to plan for the next year!!!!!

It is a tradition that our kids love and that we love and will continue for years to come, and now with the new highway being built from Michigan to Myrtle Beach, it will be even easier to get there!!!! melisa brooks
