The 2008 Hootie and the Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am finished up late Monday evening after the host group put on a spectacular concert performance at the Myrtle Beach House of Blues, and at the end of this great event the event is expected to have raised upwards of a half million dollars to be put towards junior golf and education charities.

This year's Monday After the Masters marked the 14th year of the event and the 6th in Myrtle Beach, where the event seems to have found a permanent home at the Dye Club at Barefoot and the House of Blues.  The highlight event of the weekend is always the celebrity golf tournament, which brought out such stars as: legendary athletes Dan Marino, Gale Sayers, Annika Sorenstam, Ken Griffey, Sr. and Jim McMahon; entertainers such as Branford Marsalis, Kevin Sorbo and rock band Sister Hazel; and of course the four members of Hootie and the Blowfish.

In front of a sold out gallery of 6,000, three teams of six that each featured two celebrities all finished at 16 under par, and the team led by event host and Hootie and the Blowfish lead singer Darius Rucker and LPGA legend Annika Sorenstam came away victorious after the three team playoff.
