What to do in Myrtle Beach: January
Wondering what to do in January at the Beach? There are lots of great activities coming up over the next few weeks …. starting with The Carolina African American Heritage Foundation, which is hosting its freedom rally during the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend January 18th -20th. A weekend of events will include a Carolina Talent search MLK tribute, and a corporate and community awards breakfast at the MLK parade. The parade starts at the Pelicans baseball stadium at 8:00am and will be 3 hours of fun and festivities. There will be live bands performing and even a float competition that you won’t want to miss!
Looking for a good laugh? Come out and enjoy a night of gut busting comedy at The Big Laughs Theater. Known as the funniest show on the Grand Strand, you will love the high energy, rock & roll hypnosis comedy show featuring the husband & wife hypnosis team that has performed on NBC, the CW and Jerry Springer! This show changes nightly and it’s always crazy! Best of all, there is no intermission or drink/menu minimums. The Big Laughs Theater is located in Surfside Beach just a few miles from The Caravelle Resort. This is an on-going show and begins at 9:15p.m.
Towards the end of the month is the highly anticipated 38th Annual Hotel, Motel & Restaurant Supply Show of the Southeast, which is scheduled January 28th-30th. You can expect independent hotels, motel & restaurant chains, country clubs, design firms, night clubs and hospitals to have representatives in attendance. Some marketplace offerings include linens, uniforms, furnishings & fixtures, fitness & laundry equipment, signage & graphics, window treatments, insurance and real estate. There will be over 500 exhibits and attendance in the thousands! This event is located at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center just a short drive south of The Caravelle Resort. Be sure to check it out!
