St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and there are lots of great ways to celebrate this Irish holiday in Myrtle Beach! The 5th annual Irish Festival at the Market Common will be held Saturday, March 15th from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm. This festival is an annual tradition in Myrtle Beach and is a great family friendly event. No matter your age, there’s something for everyone. From traditional Irish & Craft beers for the adults to inflatables and games for the kids, your whole family will enjoy this festival. There’s even live music, food, and vendors. Favorite local musicians are scheduled to begin at noon. Barley Corn & Rye will kick off the fun followed by Painted Man at 3:30 pm. Best of all, The Irish festival is Free Admission – you simply pay for food & drinks as you go. Also on Saturday, March 15th, The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk St. Patrick’s Day Festival will begin at noon, and the fun won’t end until 11:00 pm. The Boardwalk features an amazing four block long seaside street festival, including music, carnival games and more! The day long festival will feature all types of local and national recording artists. The sidewalks will be lined with dozens of vendors and local businesses offering their products for sale. Meanwhile, the adults will enjoy the beach’s largest Irish beer garden, while the kids enjoy the seaside Carnival with midway rides, bounce houses, games, face painters, and pony & camel rides! End your weekend with the healthy 3rd Annual 5K Kilt Run on Sunday March, 16th. Registration begins at 7:00am. Sponsored by the Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery at Broadway at the Beach, the Family Fun Run starts at 8:30am, while the 5K is at 9:00am. All race participants receive a race t-shirt, gift bag, and a drink ticket for those 21 years of age and older. Registration also includes an Irish themed breakfast buffet following the race. There will be live music, bagpipers and even leprechauns joining in the fun!
