St. Patrick’s Day Ideas from The Caravelle Resort
St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and there are lots of great ways to celebrate this Irish holiday in Myrtle Beach! The 6th annual Irish Festival at the Market Common will be held Saturday, March 14th from 11:00AM until 7:00 PM. This festival is an annual tradition in Myrtle Beach and is a great family friendly event. No matter your age, there’s something for everyone. From traditional Irish & Craft beers for the adults to inflatables and games for the kids, your whole family will enjoy this festival. There’s even live music, food, and vendors. Best of all, The Irish festival is Free Admission – you simply pay for food & drinks as you go. Just a short drive from The Caravelle Resort, The Irish Festival at Market Common is sure to be a sensation.
Also, the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk St. Patrick’s Day Festival is starting on Saturday, March 14th from 11AM-10PM and Sunday, March 15th from noon until 9PM. This will be the festival's first year as a two-day event. The Boardwalk features an amazing four block long seaside street festival, including music, carnival games and more! Live music and entertainment will begin at noon on Saturday ending with The Delta Saints, who will serve as this year's headliner. The Delta Saints are expected to play between 8 and 8:30PM on Saturday. On Sunday, a "battle of the bands" will take place with 6-8 local and regional bands competing. The day long festival will feature all types of local and national recording artists. The sidewalks will be lined with dozens of vendors and local businesses offering their products for sale. Meanwhile, the adults will enjoy the beach’s largest Irish beer garden, while the kids enjoy the seaside Carnival with midway rides, bounce houses, games, a petting zoo, and pony & camel rides! The festival is a free event with no cover charge. Don’t forget to wear your green!
The Caravelle Resort will also be hosting a St. Patrick's Day event in their Liquid's Lounge on March 17th. The festive food specials will include cabbage rolls stuffed with corned beef, served with carrots and potatoes, as well as Reuben sandwiches served with your choice of fries or hot potato chips. There will be special drink prices on Jameson, Bailey's, and green beer. There will be a DJ and karaoke from 6:30PM until 9:30PM for entertainment with tons of fun prizes and beads given away throughout the day and night.
