Wonderworks is Open for Christmas!
Good news Caravelle guests…Wonderworks will be open for the holidays!
Legend has it that Professor Wonder and a group of the world’s best scientists tried to create a man-made tornado inside of the house while it was in the Bermuda Triangle. Something went wrong, and the winds from the storm lifted the lab high into the air and landed upside down in Myrtle Beach, where it still sits inverted today. The rest of the experiments in the house astonishingly stayed intact, and they are what thousands of visitors come to Myrtle Beach to see every year.
There are over 100 exhibits to explore at Wonderworks, but the first thing to do is get everything turned right side up so that you can examine all of the scientists’ amazing research. Luckily, Professor Wonder and his friends created an Inversion Tunnel that lets you defy gravity when you walk through it. Then, you can start surveying the world’s most famous natural disasters, the Space Zone, the Bed of Nails, the Bubble Lab, the Far Out Illusion Gallery, and many more crazy demonstrations of the scientists work!
The Ropes Challenge Course is 36 feet tall with 20 activities to go through. Overcoming it takes a lot of bravery and persistence. But, if you can get past the swinging steps, the tremor bridge, and the rest of the obstacles in this section, you’ll be among the few who’ve conquered their fears, and your adrenaline will still be pumping at the end. If you dare, enter the Black Lit Maze for extreme Laser Tag. You’ll have over 10,000 square feet to try and outlast your opponents. If you do get eliminated, you can still enter the Daytona USA Race, The Harley Davidson cycles, or go shoot some hoops with your friends and family! Wonder Works will be open Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will open on Christmas Day just two hours later at noon. Caravelle Resort guests get a free mood cup and soft drink with their VMB card. Happy Holidays!
