The Caravelle Guests Love Toys and Co. for Christmas

When you stay at the Caravelle, you’re just a hop, skip, and a jump from Carolina’s neighborhood toy store, Toys and Co., a family operated specialty store that has been putting smiles on children’s faces during the holiday season (and year round) since 1995.

Don’t you hate it when you purchase a bunch of toys for Christmas, then, by the end of January, your children have thrown them in a corner somewhere to collect dust? Don’t you wish that there was a way that you can tell if they really like what they see on the shelf before you take it home? Well, the best thing about Toys and Co. is that you get to try out any toy before you buy it. I don’t mean that you get to press a few buttons while the item is still in the box. There are play areas all over the store, so your kids can test out anything they want before they get it.

The hardest thing that you’ll have to do is pull your children off the property, which is a very frequent occurrence at Toys and Co. The staff there sees this as a job well done.

Best sellers include everything from Water Flutes, Knot a Quilt, the Super Skipper, Pound & Play, and the Light Writer. All of the best brands are there too, including Aquapod, Dora Dolls, Angry Birds, and many more. Some of the newer toys for more active play are too fun to put down, like the Underwater Toy-Pedo, the DJ Rock Dock, the Forensics Fingerprint Kit, the Motorcycle with the Side Car, or the Joust Tag sets.

Toys and Co. is just a few miles away from the Caravelle Resort at 1206 Celebrity Circle on Broadway at the Beach. In December they’ll be open every day from 11a.m. until 9 p.m. except on Sunday, when the store will close three hours earlier. Any toy you take home will be gift wrapped for free.
