Super Bowl Party at the Caravelle’s Liquids Lounge!

The Liquids Lounge (located directly across the street from the Caravelle Resort’s front desk) will be hosting their Super Bowl Party on Sunday, February 3rd. Come watch the San Francisco 49er’s battle it out with the Baltimore Ravens with $2.00 cans of beer, free appetizers, raffles, prizes and drink specials!

Chef Mike McCray, 4-year Food and Beverage Director for the Caravelle, was a little bummed out this football season since his favorite team for 37 years didn’t make the playoffs. “Are you pulling for the 49’ers since they are in the NFC?” I asked.

“I don’t want them to win their 6th Super Bowl ring before Dallas does,” he said. “My favorite years were without a doubt 1992 – 1996 when the Cowboys took 3 titles in 4 years. Back then we had the Big 3, Troy Aikman, Micheal Irving, and Emmitt Smith. Those were the glory days… I’m getting old!”

Even though the Washington Redskins stopped Dallas from making the playoffs late in the 2013 regular season, Mike still found the football spirit to plan this great upcoming bash at Liquids Lounge. The 49er’s and the Ravens will be battling it out for the championship in the New Orleans Superdome in 2013. After losing to the Giants in 2012, San Francisco redeemed themselves this year with a 17-point comeback win over the Atlanta Falcons to make it to the Super Bowl. They’ll have tough competition with the Ravens. Baltimore is fired up after winning the AFC Championship in a victorious rematch over the Patriots 28-13.

Just a few days after the Super Bowl Party, Liquids Lounge will also be throwing a Mardi Gras party on February 9th. See you there!
