Caravelle Resort Guests LOVE the Sky Wheel
If you’re like most Caravelle Resort guests and it’s your first time in Myrtle Beach, you are probably wondering, “Where can I get the best view of the city?” Well, hands down, it’s the Sky Wheel.
Easily found, all you have to do after turning out of The Caravelle’s parking lot is hold it straight going south on Ocean Blvd. until you get to 11th Ave. North. You will definitely see the twenty-story tall Sky Wheel many blocks before reaching it, especially if it’s around dusk and the one million LED light show has begun.
A flight on the Sky Wheel is usually about twelve minutes, or three revolutions. When you get to the top you’ll be able to spot The Caravelle Resort where you are staying, and far beyond. You can get from two to six people in a gondola at a time, and you don’t have to worry about taking a ride with a stranger, as the Sky Wheel staff's goal is to make your ride you and your friends and family’s own personal experience. Even if there is someone in your group who is, for example, physically handicapped or deaf, their impairment wouldn’t hinder them from enjoying the excitement of getting on the Sky Wheel, as the attraction is wheelchair and service animal accessible.
The good thing about being a guest at The Caravelle Resort is that your free VMB (Vacation Member’s Benefits) Card that you get when you check-in gives you a discount that’s good for up to six people, which could ultimately give your group a savings of over twenty dollars when you ride and view Myrtle Beach from the south to the north end on the spectacular Sky Wheel.
Be sure and bring your cameras. You will get some breathtaking photos and videos that you couldn’t have gotten anywhere else on the Grand Strand!
