Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Is Simply The Best

Myrtle Beach has warm temperatures most of the time, and Ben & Jerry’s Classic Ice Cream is the perfect place to cool down. With locations at both Broadway at the Beach and Tanger Outlets, you’re just a short drive from a scoop of deliciousness.

Ben & Jerry’s is known for all of their unique flavors. When you walk in the store, you’re sure to drool. Sure, they have all of the regulars like Chocolate, but they go steps further to Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Chocolate Nougat Crunch, Smores, and Chocolate Therapy. Yeah, you might find the usual Strawberry, but somewhere close you’ll see Strawberry Cheesecake, Strawberry Banana Split with Nuts, or the Strawberry Greek with Shortbread. As for Vanilla, I miss it every time as the Vanilla Caramel Fudge and the Vanilla Heath Bar Crunch are in the way.

It’s hard to believe that all of these mouthwatering dairy masterpieces got started by two guys renting out a run-down gas station turned ice cream paradise. Jerry Greenfield met Ben Cohen when they were both about to start high school. They graduated as good friends, but neither one of them could manage to finish college. They went back home to Burlington, Vermont, and, after being in a bind for a while, both decided to go off of their passion and start a business. That passion (which all of us are so thankful for today) happened to be eating ice cream!

Jerry and Ben put their money together, got a bank loan, rented out that old gas station that I mentioned above, and started stunning taste buds. They’ve been at it for 30 years now, and guess what?
