Nearby Attraction: House Of Blues
Everyone knows that if you are looking to see a concert in the Myrtle Beach area, House of Blues is the place to go. While known for the live performances, HOB has many other qualities that set it apart from other venues … and you’ll definitely want to check it out for yourself.
House of Blues Myrtle Beach opened in 1997 and is located along the White Pointe Swash stretch of ocean thought to have been a favorite hiding spot for famous local pirates. Home to unique pieces of folk art, the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach was built to resemble a southern farmhouse with adjoining tobacco warehouse. The music hall is enclosed in authentic tin from an old tobacco barn from Jackson Mississippi. In keeping with tradition, the House of Blues displays the “Crazy Quilt” and keeps a metal box of mud from the Delta Mississippi underneath its stage.
In addition to amazing concerts and a unique atmosphere, HOB also has a separate restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. On Sundays, they offer a Gospel Brunch experience from 9:00am-2:00pm which includes local talent performing both traditional and contemporary gospel songs, plus an all you can eat buffet!
Every other night, they have a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater at 7:00pm for ages 13 & up that you can take part in for just $42.00. Free cornhole competitions are held every Wednesday until August 28th, and there are live performances by stand-up comedians several times a month as well.
Located at 4640 Hwy 17 South at Barefoot Landing, the House of Blues is just a few miles north of The Caravelle Resort. Remember to take your VMB Benefits Card, and you will receive $5 off every $25 spent on food in the restaurant.
