Greek Festival in Myrtle Beach
Want to enjoy a taste of Greek Cuisine & Culture?
The 22nd Annual St. Johns Greek Festival will be held September 26-29th at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church on 33rd Ave N, just off 17 Bypass (a five minute drive from The Caravelle Resort).
Thousands visit this event every year to enjoy mouth watering Greek foods such as Gyros, Roasted Lamb (my personal favorite when I went last year), Greek Salad, Spanikopita (Spinach Pie), and Mousaka (Egg Plant Lasagna), as well as a wide assortment of Greek Pastries and Breads. Soft Drinks, Beer and Greek Wines are also available.
Once your appetite is fulfilled, stay and enjoy live Greek Music and Greek Dancers. Or do what I did, and stroll around the vendor booths. For the children, they will have activities including the moon bounce, something my daughter can’t wait to try out.
This four day event is held both in the fellowship hall and on the church grounds. With extended festival hours, you will have plenty of opportunity to take part in the amusements. The festival kicks off Thursday from 11:00am – 9:00pm. Friday and Saturday, the excitement lasts 11:00am-10:00pm. And Sunday, you can end your weekend with festival fun noon-7:00pm.
