Warm, beautiful weather, soothing waves massaging your feet, and a day of enjoyment is in your future if you plan on visiting Myrtle Beach. Myrtle Beach offers a wealth of recreation, entertainment, dining and shopping opportunities. Of course, the Atlantic Ocean is the number one attraction and the reason so many families visit Myrtle Beach year after year. Whether you are fifteen or seventy-five there is something that will interest you in Myrtle Beach. Best of all, Myrtle Beach allows you to get away from home and take some time to sit back and relax. Myrtle Beach is located along the eastern shoreline of South Carolina, which is a coast to the Atlantic Ocean. It is seated about 140 miles southeast of the capital city of Columbia and is about 180 miles south of Charlotte, North Carolina (Driving Distances to Myrtle Beach). Myrtle Beach has become a vast tourist attraction mainly because of the ocean and the weather. According to the Myrtle Beach Resort, the beach area is expected to have two-hundred or more days of sunshine per year. Compared to the Midwest and other areas of the United States, the Myrtle Beach area has a very comfortable temperature year round. Myrtle Beach family resorts offer something for every member of your family. Beautiful beaches, scrumptious food, fun-filled amusement parks, unique shops, award winning golf, and historic sites, and new adventures are around every corner. I strongly recommend taking a trip to Myrtle Beach and the beautiful waters of the Atlantic Ocean, if you are looking for a great place to vacation. From first hand experience, I can guarantee you and your family will enjoy every fun-filled moment during your stay in paradise.
