The Caravelle Cup a Great Success for the First Tee of Myrtle Beach

| | Comments (0)

The second annual Caravelle Cup was recently completed and after enduring a driving rain in the best ball format of round one at Arrowhead Country Club and testy winds in the Texas scramble format of round two at Wild Wing Avocet, the team of Lance Trent and Robert Glance came away victorious.

While the weather was far from perfect for the tournament weekend, all of the participants who came from all across the United States experienced a great golf experience and many newly forged friendships.  Best of all, The Caravelle Resort was able to make a sizable donation to the First Tee of Myrtle Beach to benefit youth golf.

The participants of The Caravelle Cup and the kids of the First Tee Program of Myrtle Beach were all treated to a demonstration by one club Guiness World Record Holder, Thad Daber.  Thad shot 70 for one full round with just a six iron to set the world record.  He put on an impressive display of shot making and trick shooting that won all of the spectators over at our fun event..
